PMA, FDA, and USDA to Host Virtual Town Hall on COVID-19

The Produce Marketing Association (PMA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) are joining forces for an ongoing discussion in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Together, they will be presenting an industry-wide Virtual Town Hall to address the challenges the industry is currently facing. Participants will include:

  • Bruce Summers
    Administration, USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service
  • Frank Yiannas
    Deputy Commissioner for Food Policy and Response, FDA
  • Dr. Max Teplitski
    Chief Science Officer, PMA

A General Session will kick off this week—April 1, 2020 at noon (Eastern). PMA expects to share updates, discuss challenges in real-time, share learnings and opportunities, and explore where efforts should be focused while looking toward the future.
