Larry Keener Nominated for IFT Board of Directors
We are delighted at Food Safety Magazine (FSM) to announce that Larry Keener, President and CEO of International Product Safety Consultants and longtime member of the FSM Editorial Advisory Board, has been nominated as a candidate for the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Board of Directors for the 2013 leadership.
Larry would bring vast global experience in food safety, food technology, microbiology, regulatory affairs and crisis management to the position. As co-founder and co-chair of the Global Harmonization Initiative, which promotes the harmonization of food safety legislation and regulations, he would bring a wealth of expertise to the position. He has also served as chair of IFT’s Non-Thermal Processing Division.
The election runs from February 13–March 14, 2013. IFT members will be able to cast their ballots electronically from any Internet-accessible computer worldwide. IFT will send out an “Election Open” message via e-mail on February 13, 2013, to all IFT voting members with details on how to cast your vote. We encourage all current IFT members to cast their ballots for Larry as he would make an outstanding addition to IFT’s board and has been a very active and valuable member of the Food Safety Magazine team.
